We are one of the only boat companies on Kauai that specifically targets the gentler waters off of Kauai’s southern coasts that are known for their popular snorkeling destinations. On every trip our captain and crew share their passion and knowledge of marine life and island history.
Established in 1999, Kauai Z Tourz has explored the Na Pali Coastline of Kauai with visitors and kama’aina since 1999. We introduced a South Shore Snorkel, Whale Watching Tours, and Shoreline Snorkel tours to our activities within the first year of operations. We are happy to be Kauai’s Premiere Zodiac Tour company.
The ocean (Moana) is at the heart pulse of what we do. Without the vast eco systems and diverse species on our reefs there would be no underwater world for us to educate, explore and enjoy. “The oceans deserve our respect and care, but you have to know something before you can care about it” – Sylvia Earle. Each of our tours include marine ecology briefings and education tidbits to ensure you will walk away with a bit more knowledge about our amazing playground and all of the creatures who share it.
Hokupa’a (the name of our vessel) means “Fixed Star.” This star, unlike other stars, does not change its position no matter the longitude. The Hokupa’a star is used to navigate the path for a “Hokule’a’” voyage from Hawaii to Tahiti.
Our zodiac is a US Coast Guard approved 25 foot rigid hull inflatable vessel for 14 passengers and 2 crew memebers that takes visitors to areas of marine interest along Kauai’s coastal shores.
